There is a popular opinion that nothing contributes to extending people's knowledge about the country they live in more than traveling across it. At the same time, there are some people who believe that seeing the country's best sights with your own eyes is not necessary to get useful information about it. Now I would like to express my point of view on this issue.

In my opinion, traveling is not only the most pleasurable it is also the most helpful way to explore your country. The first thing that needs to be said is that walking the streets and admiring the city's breathtakingly beautiful attractions will certainly motivate you to find out more about your country's history and the images of them will remain in your memory for a long time. Secondly, going on a guided tour is always a good choice because a well-qualified guide will provide you with fascinating facts about the country you live in and show you the most famous cultural monuments in a short time.

However, there is an opposite point of view that a person who wants to learn something new about his country can easily find all the information he needs on the Internet, saving plenty of time and not leaving the house.

To a certain extent, it is right, but the Internet is filled with unreliable information which sometimes can be wrong and confusing. Occasionally it requires long hours to find the details a person was looking for.

In conclusion, I would like to say that nothing makes you learn more about your country's history and culture more than traveling in it.
