Public libraries are becoming less popular example (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

In today’s world the problem of libraries’ significance causes great argument and controversy. Some people believe that popularity of libraries decreases and they can fade away while others do not agree with it.

My personal view is that libraries are valuable and people will always attend them. To start with, it is more pleasant to read paper books and people who do not want to buy them can use libraries’ resources. Furthermore, libraries nowadays become multifunctional centers. They provide access to the Internet and people can attend educational courses there. Additionally, libraries keep history as we can find old handwritten letters, documents and works of famous people there.

However, there exists another point of view on this issue.

First of all, due to the technological progress, a person can find books in the Internet and read them online for free. Moreover, people read less nowadays and prefer to listen to audio books or watch screen versions.

Despite my respect for this opinion, I cannot share it because libraries provide an opportunity for a person to find any book even which he cannot download himself. Besides, interesting meetings with famous writers always take place in libraries and people gladly visit them.

Taking into consideration all mentioned above, I must admit that libraries will be always popular among citizens.
