Modern technological inventions make people less socially interactive (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

It is hard to deny that social interaction plays an inalienable role in our life. Elaborating on this topic, some people are firmly convinced that present-day technological developments make people less socialized whereas others hold the opposing opinion. In this essay I am going to make an attempt to look upon this issue.

In my opinion, modern technologies cause losing social interaction skills. There are several reasons for that. Firstly, people become more and more addicted to their devices, which causes lack of interest in face-to-face communication and, consequently, leads to loss of ability to communicate offline. Secondly, the place of real-life friends has been overtaken by virtual ones.

Thus, while people have hundreds of friends on the social media, thanks to modern technologies, they no longer need to personally interact with anyone and that causes the loss of social interaction skills.

However, there are still a few people who are convinced that communicating via technologies helps people to develop their real-life social skills. They claim that one can learn how to interact with others in order feel more comfortable in reality.

Personally, I appreciate the other opinion, though I cannot agree with it. I think that on the Internet, via one’s device a person cannot fully express his or her emotions and it is wrong to compare real-life social interaction and digital one.

In conclusion, I would like to say that there two points of view on this issue. I still respect the opposing opinion, though I strongly believe that modern technologies have negative impact on social skills.
