Exams motivate students study harder (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

There is no doubt that encouraging students to study better through examinations is one of the most pressing questions in the modern world. Some people consider exams to be able to stimulate improving students' learning. However others are convinced that exams cannot influence pupils' diligence and success.

My personal view is that the desire of students to study harder can be motivated by upcoming exams. Firstly, passed exams give an opportunity to enter the university or college. Consequently, if a person fall the exam he will not be able to continue the education. University students can be expelled from their intuitions for failed exams. Secondly, a big amount of educational institutions pay elevated scholarships for excellent exams. Students have to put a lot of effort and study extremely hard to pass them and get extra money.

Nevertheless we should consider this problem from another angle.

There are people who support the idea of the inability of exams to make pupils pay more attention to study. The believe that there are many students who are too lazy to do something to improve their marks. Exam is not quite strong motivation for such people to start learning and make progress at school or college . Moreover, a few students find schooling to be less significant and worth attention than their hobbies and other pastime activities. Accordingly, schoolchildren spend the biggest part of their everyday time on such business as sport, art, household chores and animal care.

Despite the fact that I respect the opinion above, I have my own point of view. Although each of us has our own character and mental abilities, tests and exams are unavoidable. Everyone has to pass them so every student must make great effort and study harder to do this.

In conclusion, I would like to say that the examinations have an opportunity to promote students' studying. Exams are considered to be a serious part of students' life. Thus they make people improve their study skills to provide higher education and a happy future.
