Digital literacy is the key to success in any occupation 2020 (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

In our modern world computers and the Internet play a very significant role so a lot of people are sure that digital literacy is the key to success in any line of work while others do not think it is true.

Personally, I believe that digital literacy contributes to success whatever job you have. Firstly, almost every job requires communication with people and digital literacy gives an opportunity to do it faster using a computer. Besides, with the help of advertisement on the Internet one can attract new clients. Finally, if a worker has basic computer skills, he can write a report or conduct different operations much more quickly.

However, there is another point of view that digital literacy is not something necessary for employee. Their first argument is that not every type of work is connected with using computers. Moreover, it is not easy for elderly workers to be literate in digital technologies so they can do without it.

Despite my respect for this opinion, I cannot share it. To begin with, If person’s job is not connected directly with using computers, he/she can improve productivity of work learning some computer skills.

What is more, there are special courses for elderly people how to be literate in digital technologies.

To sum up, I would like to say that digital literacy is sufficient competence in every occupation.
