Browsing the Web is harmful to teenagers + письмо о theatre performances (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

The Web's issue worries humanity nowadays. Some people are convinced that surfing the Internet has a detrimental impact on youth, while others believe that it cannot do any harm to teenagers.

To begin with, I suppose that there is no harm for young people in browsing the Web. Firstly, teenagers waste their time on watching silly content of Web`s pages. Secondly, surfing the Web causes a lot of health problems. For example, a teenager would suffer from obesity caused by constantly sitting near a computer. Thirdly, the Web makes youth more antisocial, replacing them real friends.

Nevertheless, there are those who opine that the Web is not harmful to teenagers.

First of all, they reckon that young people can find out useful information about every aspect of life. Moreover, my opponents claim that the Web provides a splendid entertainment to teenagers.

Anyway, I disagree with them. Youth usually charge their memory with trifles, browsing the Web. In addition, this type of entertainment is called “dangerous” by a lot of psychologists who work with teenagers.

To sum it up, I want to stress that surfing the Web is detrimental leisure for teenagers because it has a huge number of disadvantages.

Dear Mike,

Thanks for your recent letter. It was great to hear from you again. I’m sorry I haven`t answered earlier but I was really busy at school.

In your letter you asked me about theatre performances. Well, I`ve never participated in them. Actually, we had the extra-curricular event in my school this year. It was organized for the future eleventh form. To be honest, I think it isn`t necessary for teens to take part in such activities after school because someone might dislike them.

By the way, I want to ask you some questions about your trip. How long did the camping trip last? What did you like the most? Did you go on the camping trip alone?

Unfortunately, I have to go now because my mum is calling me.
