Science is the first thing to be financed in the world example (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Nowadays, the problem of whether science should be the first thing to be financed in the modern world causes great argument and controversy.. Some people believe that science needs to be financially prioritized,, while others are of another opinion. I side with the first opinion.

In my opinion, science should be always financed in the first place. To begin with, science helped us, humans, achieve many things. Think of electricity, telephones, televisions. These things exist because of science. What is more, science helps us discover the things around us. What is more, science helped us in achieving many goals away from our planet Earth such as the moon landing, the first human in space, the first satellite in space. Many of these attainments shape the way we use our technologies today.

However, there exists another point of view on this issue.

First of all, some people think financing the military is more important than financing science. Furthermore, many of the individuals who are of other opinion think that we shouldn’t finance science, we should solve all of our problems on Earth and then finance science.

Despite my respect for this opinion, I cannot share it because I do not think the military is more important than science. Essentially military is used to fight other countries, but considering the world hasn’t seen a major war since 1945, the military can be disbanded all together. Moreover, one should not ignore the fact that we solve problems on Earth by heading out of Earth. For example, we use satellites to communicate with others. Thus, we can solve problems on Earth more effectively.

In conclusion, the problem of financing science is a problem that still needs to be discussed. As far as I am concerned, I think we need to finance science.
