All work experience – even unpaid work experience – is valuable (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Getting work experience even as a volunteer is extremely important nowadays. Employers value any work experience gained by a young person. However, it might sound as a controversial issue because not all people share this point of view.

I believe it is crucial to get work experience while studying at school or college. It will help a candidate to apply for a job after graduation and have more chances to get it. First of all, any part-time or summer even unpaid job can provide with some additional skills which may be a competitive advantage for the candidate while applying for a permanent job. Secondly, communication and multitasking are essential skills that are in demand in the job market. In particular, it shows to potential employer that you can interact with different people and perform different tasks in the working environment.

On the other hand, some people believe that it is not a good idea to combine studies and work. They suppose that having a job or volunteering during the learning process can influence negatively a student’s academic progress. As a result, young people start getting poor marks despite newly obtained skills.

I disagree that studying and working are incompatible. If a student is able to manage time properly, it will be possible for them to combine a part-time job and a learning process efficiently.

All in all, gaining work experience is vital for young people for future career prospects. I strongly believe that students with work experience can become more successful in getting a better job after graduation.
