In today's world the problem of following fashion novelties by adolescents causes great argument and contraversary. Some people put forward the view that teens spend too much time on their exterior. Others are sure that nowadays there is a strong tendency of turning young people to the inner world.

As far as I am concerned, I agree that a new generation of teenagers are intrested in self-development more than in fashion.

First of all, the generation "Z" or so-called "post-milleniums" are people, whose aspirations are inextricably linked with the improvement of the world. Hence, cares of appearance go into the background when it is necessary to invest in the future through education and learning useful skills. In addition, the desire for freedom in all spheres of life among modern adilescents is stronger than ever. They do not want to be constrained by fashion and prejustices about look. That is why the movements as feminism and body-positive are popular among them.

Nevertheless, some people believe that young people are concerned about themselves and their looks. They think that social networks make them exibit themselves for general approval.

However, I can not agree with the opposing point of view. Most of the teens use the Internet for learning something new or expressing their individuality. Intelligence is what is really beautiful today.

To conclude, I would like to mention, that the modern society of ypungsters appreciates personality. It is enough to be yourself for building connections with peers.
