Every year I think more and more about studying the Chinese language.

In retrospect, Russia and China have been cooperating for more than 400 years; and in recent time, the link is becoming closer and closer. Many of my friends are learning the Chinese language, and few months ago, I have met a Chinese friend. In my opinion, the study of this language and culture can help me in the future. So soon, I am going to learn Chinese.

First of all, Mandarin (standard Chinese) is the most used mother tongue on the planet with over 800 million native speakers.

The two world languages with over a billion users are English and Mandarin. As well as in China, Mandarin is spoken in countries such as Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Philippines and Mongolia. Therefore, you can make friends from other countries and learn their cultures. I think it would be an unforgettable experience for everyone!

Secondly, without a doubt, many kinds of art like painting, calligraphy, architecture, pottery, sculpture, bronzes, jade carving, and other fine or decorative art forms have been produced in China over the centuries. The most ancient monuments of Chinese art date back to the third Millennium BC - the time of existence of primitive society. In addition, it is impossible not to wonder the achievements of this country.

Moreover, science and technology are also continuing to develop. One recent 2017 development in Chinese science is teleportation! Chinese researchers sent a packet of information from Tibet to a satellite in orbit, up to 870 miles (1, 400 kilometres) above the Earth's surface, which is a new record for quantum teleportation distance. Besides, they have developed the fastest train in the world, which can reach speeds of up to 217 mph (350 km/h).

I strongly believe that China is one of the most promising and fastest growing countries. Learning the Chinese language not only allows you to communicate in this language, but also can provide the further development. According to the Ministry of education of China, there are about two thousand public institutions of higher learning, with an enrolment of about 9 million people. And about 500 Chinese universities are entitled to enrol foreign students. Currently China has more than 300 thousand students from 175 countries around the world. Leaders in the number of foreign students are the most prestigious universities in China – Peking University and Fudan University in Shanghai.

In conclusion, I want to say that the Chinese language for me is a way to get closer to the country and its culture, an opportunity to go to a Chinese college and to get a decent education. As I have mentioned before, relations between Russia and China are strengthening, so that work with China is extremely promising. So learning the Chinese would give me a lot.
