Some people believe that in the future all shopping will be done via the Internet and there will be no reason for markets and stores to work. Others are convinced that the concept of traditional shopping will never become obsolete.

To my mind, online stores will soon displace traditional ones. Firstly, technological progress has made shopping faster and more convenient. People nowadays do not have to spend hours to get to the shop, search for products, stand in queues - they can just make a few clicks on the screen and then receive products right into the hands instead. Secondly, buying things online is more beneficial.

That is because the majority of items are coming directly from the warehouse and, therefore, their total cost become lower.

On the other hand, there is a perception that, despite the progress, demand for ordinary shops will remain. One should bear in mind that the actual quality of things like foodstuffs or clothes can only be checked by hands. If new dress simply will not fit you or sandwiches will be overdue, you will get nothing but irritation.

Nevertheless, I do not agree with the statement above as reliable companies, being interested in their own credibility, are making an effort to monitor the quality of the products.

To sum up, I think that although purchasing online has its flaws, it, however, makes busy lives of people easier as it saves precious time and money. In this case, existence of conventional shops is disadvantageous.
