Teenagers should have a gap-year (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Nowadays, when all teenagers are busy with preparing for exams, the problem of having a gap year to have a rest from endless studying is highly debatable. Some people claim that it is necessary to enter university strictly after school, while others believe that schoolchildren need a break before going to university.

Personally, I hold the opinion that all teenagers should have a gap-year. To begin with, it is the only chance to take a rest and become mentally strong before entering a university. Additionally, having a break to make the right career choice is essential as a person's whole life depends on it.

Besides, a gap-year is a great idea if one wants to earn one’s living or gain some experience.

However, the supporters of another point of view are assured that wasting one year on something except for studying is pointless.

Firstly, they suppose that a gap-year has a destructive influence on former schoolchildren as they begin to become bone idle. Secondly, they consider this year harmful because it makes students study reluctantly as all they want to do is work.

Nevertheless, I cannot agree with these arguments as they lack sufficient ground. Actually, if teenagers plan what they do every day, they cope with all mundane matters efficiently and they cannot be named as lazy ones. In addition, most teenagers understand that education is a crucial part of their life, so they never give it up.

In conclusion, I want to state that a gap year is a chance for former students to get ready for everything that the future holds for them. Actually, I am convinced that all teenagers need it.
