The question of whether computers are more convenient for education than books will always be controversial. Although many people think that students should use books for educational purposes, others claim that computers are the future of this sphere.
In my opinion, there are plenty of opportunities for using computers during the educational process. Firstly, a student does not have to carry heavy books and copybooks in his\her backpack. Instead of it, they can take with them only one light laptop, so it will not cause any harm to students' health. Secondly, computers can prevent students from skipping lessons due to illnesses or other problems. They can study at home, but without a computer it is impossible because books cannot provide such an amount of information as the Internet can.
However, not all people agree.
They believe that computers should be prohibited during studying because students can easily cheat on exams using the Internet. And they cannot carry a book with themselves on exams. It means that exams will be fairer for all students. Moreover, computers are a great distraction for the young - it is considered that they waste time playing computer games.
I cannot fully agree with the statement above. I think motivated students will always pay attention to their studies, even though they can play games. Additionally, there are enough methods to detect plagiarism in students' works, so they have to pass exams by themselves, even if they have access to the Internet.
To sum up, I believe that digital learning and the use of computers will become a part of the usual process of studying because of their convenience.
