Bad weather can ruin all one's holiday plans (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

There is an opinion that bad weather conditions can have a negative impact on a person’s plans for holidays. Another view is that they cannot spoil what a person has planned to do on their vacation.

Personally, I think that nasty weather can interfere with people’s holiday plans. To begin with, people may have to stay in a hotel or the accommodation they rent due to bad weather conditions. As a result, they will not be able to attend all the sights which they have planned to visit. What is more, a person can get sick because of bad weather and might be taken to hospital, so they will have no opportunity to enjoy their holiday.

However, my opponents claim that poor bad weather cannot ruin all people’s vacation plans. First of all, a person considers the weather and climate of the place where they are going to spend their holiday, when they are planning it.

Moreover, it is always possible to change one’s plans a bit and, for example, go on excursions, which are held indoors or swim in a swimming pool instead of doing it in the sea.

Nevertheless, I do not agree with the opposing opinion. Firstly, it is impossible to predict disasters, such as a heavy downpour, heat wave or storm. Secondly, many activities cannot be replaced, for example, visiting a place of natural beauty or sunbathing.

To sum up, I strongly believe that bad weather conditions can spoil all person’s plans for vacation. People cannot enjoy their holiday as they may have to stay indoors and have no opportunity to visit the places that they want.
