Hobby/ Хобби (Сочинение на свободную тему)

Hobby is an essential part of everyday life. Every person is crazy about something. Hobby is an activity that we enjoy doing in our free time. People have hobbies because they want to spend free time more productive and interesting. There are different types of hobby. There are ordinary hobbies like reading, dancing, collecting something, playing chess or draughts. And there are more extraordinary like ghost hunting, paintballing or collecting dead butterflies. The good thing is that you can choose whatever you want and give it a try. And if you won’t get a taste for it, you can always try something else. Nowadays a lot of people not only have a one hobby, but two or more.

As for me, I’m keen on reading. I love it since my childhood. My mum says I used to ask her to read me books when I was a child. When I was a teenager I loved reading detective books but now I like to read novels and young adult. I think I’m into it because it helps me escape from routine. Reading is also an excellent source of information of all types. Moreover, reading books helps to better understand people and their behavior. I’m also like reading because you can learn something new from books. You can learn about culture of different countries and their traditions. What is more, by reading you can improve your grammar skills and build up a vocabulary. What I don’t understand is how people choose their favorite books? I mean there are so many good books. I personally don’t have one.

To conclude, I would like to say that having a hobby is a good thing. Hobbies always provide priceless satisfaction. I think it’s important to choose a hobby that you enjoy but not the others.
