There has always been sufficient controversy over the invention of the car. Some people say that the world has become better since the first automobiles emerged, while others oppose this view.

Personally, I think that cars do more harm than good to our world. Firstly, they produce exhaust fumes and cause air pollution, which both are proven to trigger the global warming. Secondly, due to road constructions and today’s high traffic, the invention of the automobile vehicle has lead to the loss of animals’ natural habitats and forest destruction. Thirdly, by driving cars people have got used to keeping sedentary lifestyle that can result in health impairment and obesity.

Nevertheless, some people think that cars help us to travel from one place to another in a short period of time and save much time.

In view of this, the world has benefited from the invention of the car.

I strongly disagree with this opinion because if the car had not been invented, people would not get serious injuries on the roads and die in traffic accidents. So, cars bring nothing else but disaster to our world.

In conclusion, though some people think that cars make our lives easier, firmly believe that the invention of the car affected the world negatively. In my opinion, people should give up driving automobiles and start riding bicycles that are environmentally-friendly and beneficial for humans’ health.
