It goes without saying that the environment's protection has been the subject of much recent discussion. I am therefore currently working on an important project to find out what people who live in Zetland do to protect the environment. I have found some valuable statistics for my project in a diagram to help give my opinion on the subject.
The information in the bar chart shows the popularity of each way to protect the environment.
Recycling (33%) is the most popular, whereas, in stark contrast, shopping with reusable bags (3%) is the least. Shopping wisely (32%) ranks just below recycling (33%), and roughly a third conserving water (22%) and saving electricity (10%).
The bar chart shows a significant difference between ways to protect the environment.
Recycling is a great deal more popular than shopping with reusable bags, having a 33% popularity rating, against one of only 3%.
As noted earlier, recycling barely exceeds shopping wisely which has 32% of responders' votes.
The statistics point to an underlying problem. As shopping with reusable bags is the least widely preferred activity, it is clear that people want to protect the environment, but they don't reuse. It's much easier to buy plastic bags offered in the shops.
But they have to remember that plastic is one of the most difficult materials to recycle.
To my mind, if every man thinks about our environment and does something to protect it, our world would be much cleaner and happier. Otherwise, our next generation will live in a dirty place in unhealthy conditions.
