There is a wide-spread opinion that it is not a good idea to buy pre-owned things. However, some people doubt about it.
In my opinion, people should not acquire second-hand things. First of all, we do not know who used these things before us. They may be dirty, low-quality, and it is very difficult to notice all defects immediately before buying it. Secondly, there is no large diversity in the second-hand stores. You may not find special right size clothes or cushions for sofa which will be suitable in terms of design.
Nevertheless, some people believe that there is nothing bad in acquisition second-hand things. It helps to save money because pre-owned items usually cost much less. The remaining funds can be spent on something else.
However, I cannot agree with the above point of view.
A lot of things in the second-hand shops cost as much as new ones. So, it is more reasonable to buy previously unused goods in original stores where you will be aware of quality of items.
In conclusion, I would like to say that it is wrong to buy something in second-hand stores. Clearly, it is better to acquire absolutely new things.
