1. Nowadays, taking a gap year after graduating from school is becoming popular among students. Some people think that not going to university straight away is a good idea while others believe that missing a year after school has a bad influence on applicants.

In my opinion, a gap year is a good choice for students. Firstly, a person can try his future profession in practice. For example, working as an assistant helps to understand advantages and disadvantages of the field where a student is going to develop.

If a person knows more about his future specialty, he studies at university productively and consciously. Secondly, a gap year is an opportunity to earn money. Students usually want to be independent on their parents, so finding a job can help to do it. Working, a person understands the value of money and labour.

However, there is another point of view on this issue. Some people are certain that a gap year makes students forget all they learnt at school and it is difficult to start studying again.

Nevertheless, I cannot agree with this statement. If a person works in the sphere of his future profession, he does not forget essential things. This person can get even more knowledge than his peers at university, because he constantly makes practice.

Taking into consideration all mentioned above, I would like to say that taking a gap year helps young people to become responsible, independent, and conscious that is important in modern world.

2. Nowadays every person has a mobile phone. Some people think that mobiles make educational process more convenient, while others believe that phones should be forbidden at the schools at all.

In my opinion, there is no need to ban mobiles at school. Firstly, almost every phone has Internet access, which makes the mobile even more informative than classic paper textbooks. For example, a student wants to find additional information in the theme he learns and he can easily do it with his phone, not waiting for a break to ask a teacher. Secondly, it is dangerous to forbid mobile phones because they can save in emergency situations. For instance, if a student has an elderly grandmother of grandfather with diseases who needs help right away, he should be attentive to phone calls and ready to answer it to avoid irreparable consequences.

However, there is another point of view on this issue. Some people claim that mobiles distract pupils from studying because there are different funny games and videos that seem much more attractive than listening to the lesson.

Nevertheless, I cannot agree with this opinion. The solution of this problem is making mobiles a part of studying process. Thus, students will not be able to open a tab with entertaining content because the screen will be encompassed only by educational material.

In conclusion, I would like to say that modern education cannot exist without electronic devices, especially mobile phones, that is why people should adapt to it.
