1. A city lifestyle is really harmful / Ann deers plants (Сочинения ЕГЭ английский язык)

Most people live in big cities surrounded by skyscrapers and cars. Some people find this place for living really damaging for health and soul while for others a city is more preferable for life. So, who is right? Let us examine the problem more closely.

Personally, I strongly believe that city lifestyle has a lot of harmful factors which can be dangerous for your physical and mental health. First of all, nowadays cities are really dirty, there are not enough trees, the air is polluted because of carbon dioxide emissions.

Besides, life in cities is full of stress due to a constant rat race. As a result, in spite of a great variety of opportunities in an urban area, people simply do not have time for their personal life.

On the other hand, there people who think differently and enjoy living in big cities. They claim that a city provides you with numerous places of entertainment and stores. Life in a city is more comfortable because of aa developed infrastructure.

Nevertheless, I cannot subscribe to this point of view. I still insist that city lifestyle is harmful. The fact that the more advanced urban live is the more polluted its environment becomes. Besides, people get so exhausted at work that they have no energy for any sort of entertainment.

To put everything in a nutshell, I would like to say that a city life is getting less and less popular owing to a growing number of disadvantages.

Dear Ann,

Thank you for your letter. It was nice to hear from you again. Sorry, I haven’t written for so long. I was snowed under with my school work.

In your letter you let me know that your flowers had been destroyed by a group of deer. Well, of course it’s terrible! Fortunately, I live in a flat, so I can’t imagine myself in such a situation. But I have a lot of plants and flowers at home. My mom looks after them. As for the yard decoration, I can suggest installing small waterfalls or fountains and hanging your flowers up in special flower pots.

By the way, concerning your grandparents cruise, how long will it take? What is the route of their journey? What is the name of their ship?

Anyway, I’ve got to go now. I need to run a few errands. Write back soon.
