Introduction: There are a lot of animals in our planet. They can be divided into wild and domestic. People often call domestic animals ‘pets’.

– Why do people keep pets?

Today almost every family has a pet. In my opinion, people keep pets because they give positive emotions and help us to get rid of stress. Moreover, pets are kind of friends for petkeepers.

– What pets are popular in big cities?

People who live in big cities often choose a cat or a small dog as a pet. Firstly, they don’t need extensive space to live on.

Secondly, you don’t have to spend a lot of money on buying pet food.

– Is having a pet a big responsibility? Why?

Anyway, having a pet is a big responsibility. They are alive as we are, and if we don’t take good care of them, they may fall sick.

– What wild animals do live in your region?

In my region there are many forests where different animals live. The most common are moose, wolves, bears and foxes. Sometimes you can come across a deer or a hedgehog.

– Why do people build zoos in cities and towns?

There are plenty of reasons for building zoos in cities and towns. For example, there a person can see exotic animals which can’t be seen is ordinary life. In addition, many zoos have saving programmes for endangered species.

– Is it a good idea to keep a wild animal as a pet?

In my opinion, keeping a wild animal as a pet is a bad idea. When wild animals grow up, they need special care which often takes a lot of money and energy.

Conclusion: All in all, it depends on people whether to keep a pet or not, But everyone should remember that a petkeeper should be very responsible.
